| Peta-Lee | With a background in fashion, Peta-Lee Woolf’s aim is to produce local South African products that, through their making, also offer the opportunity of employment and empowerment to the previously disadvantaged local people. Her teams of craftspeople have either learnt their basic skills via community workshops or have been trained by Peta-Lee herself. Her products are made using high-quality textiles such as South African Merino, Alpaca, Karakul and Mohair. Special wool dyes are used to dye the fibres into a range of vibrant and fashionable colours. The wools are left in their natural state in order to enhance the beautifully rich natural hues. The entire process is entirely handcrafted. |
