Mille Boutique Urges Consumers to Choose Natural Products for Stunning Eco-Friendly Interiors this #PlasticFreeJuly

As annual eco-campaign #PlasticFreeJuly draws to a close, environmentally conscious brand Mille Boutique is urging consumers to invest in home products that are made from natural materials to continue the positive impact of the movement.

#PlasticFreeJuly aims to raise awareness of plastic waste and encourages consumers to give up single-use plastic for an entire month, with many continuing to do so beyond the initial 31 days. Starting in 2011 in Western Australia, the movement has spread to more than 150 countries as the consequences of plastic waste become more well-known. In the UK, this year’s #PlasticFreeJuly comes after a raft of pledges from the government and businesses to cut out the unnecessary use of single use plastic, making it a topical subject that consumers are increasingly aware of.

Mablé AGBODAN, CEO of Mille Boutique, said, “#PlasticFreeJuly is a fantastic campaign that’s raising awareness on an issue that needs to be tackled. It’s clear that single use plastic is devastating natural environments around the world unnecessarily and it’s great to see that so many people around the world are now engaged in this topic.

“However, we think it needs to go further. Consumers that want to embrace an environmentally friendly lifestyle should look at the materials longer-term products are made of. While these don’t have the immediate impact that single use plastic does, they can eventually end up in a landfill. Selecting natural or biodegradable products can go a long way to tackling one of the biggest challenges we face as a global society.

”With natural products in place, it’s possible for homeowners to boasts beautiful interiors that are both on trend and eco-friendly. As an advocate for sustainable items, Mille Boutique offers a simple way for consumers to shop for stunning handmade items that embrace natural materials and traditional techniques through its dedicated online store. From plush fabrics that are crafted from luxurious kente cotton to elegant recycled pallet wooden desks, Mille Boutique aims to lead the way when it comes to combining interior design and eco living.

The Mille Boutique brand also sells fashion garments, home accessories, and more. With products that are handmade in West Africa and Africa diaspora creatives and ethical practices throughout the business, Mille Boutique offers an effortless shopping experience for consumers that value sustainability.
