Some colors are predominant in our choices: yellow, blue, grey, purple, pink, red or orange, green and of course black and white.

Every color reflects an emotion, an atmosphere. We just have to know what atmosphere we want to create in our environment. Whether it is calming, joying or relaxing environment, anything can be created. Just like everything else, it is very personal and atmosphere changes from one room to another.

*Yellow is a bright and ardent colour, which goes perfectly in a living room for example. It can be used alongside bright wood and brown colors tones.
It is often associated with happiness, positive energy and sunshine.
In other cultures, the colour yellow has different meaning and associations.
For example in Egypt, this colour is used for mourning. In India, it is used by merchants and in Japan, yellow is the symbol of courage.

When using yellow, we need to remember that the hue that we go for is very important. Whether it is for the kitchen, living room, and bedroom the shade we choose is very important.

Lighter versions are best for study, bedrooms or dens.

Bleu is a peaceful colour, which works very well in children’s bedrooms. There are many shades of bleu and they can all be associated with each other.

This particular evokes calm, peace and tranquility. It is known as a stress-reducing colour and is often used in masculine or corporate designs.

Due to its attributing characteristics of relaxation and calm, this colour is perfect for bedrooms, sitting room, study, bathrooms, nurseries etc.

For living rooms, warmer blues such as periwinkle, cerulean or turquoise are great options.

Grey is a colour, which is referred to as chic, but it needs to be used with caution in order to avoid being overused.
